For clivia change soil, the old soil can be reused, but before use, should add some base fertilizer, or remove half of it, replace with new soil. Root pruning is also necessary, requiring the old, blackened roots to be sheared off and over-dense roots to be thinned. After the change, it is also necessary to pour water once, but water cannot be accumulated in the soil.

1. Old soil can be used

When changing soil for clivia, the old soil can be reused. However, because the nutrients in it have been absorbed by the plants, the fertility will be insufficient. Before use, some base fertilizer should be added to it to increase its fertility. However, it is recommended to use half of the old soil mixed with half of the new soil, or all of the new soil. Because this flower soil is not easy to harden, it can grow better.

2. Need to repair roots

When changing pots for it, it is best to prune its roots, cut off the old, blackened roots, and cut off the dense roots. This allows it to extract nutrients from the soil more efficiently, thus growing better. If left untreated, these roots take up a lot of space and consume a lot of nutrients, affecting plant growth.

3. Water after changing pots

After changing the basin, it needs to be watered once. Doing so allows the roots to bond more closely with the new soil, which has great benefits for its subsequent growth. However, after watering, it was necessary to ensure that there was no accumulated water in the soil, otherwise it might affect the growth of the plants.
