Garlic is very common in our daily life and on the dinner table. Now garlic is grown in all parts of our country. When planting garlic, we first need to choose a good species of garlic. The quality of garlic is the key to ensure the rapid germination of garlic, but in addition to choosing a good species of garlic, there are many ways to promote the rapid germination of garlic. So what are the specific ones? Today, the editor has brought you a way to sprout garlic quickly. Let's take a look at it.

1. Temperature control

Temperature control is very important if garlic is to germinate quickly. The temperature suitable for garlic germination is generally about 16-18 degrees. If it goes beyond this range, it is very disadvantageous to the germination of garlic. In many areas, most of the time when growing garlic is autumn, and it is basically before and after the "autumn tiger". At this time, the highest temperature can reach 30 degrees, so even if it is watered every day, it will take about a week to sprout. And even so, it won't sprout neatly, especially if it's planted in summer. Therefore, when growing garlic, we must control the temperature in order to ensure the rapid germination of garlic.

2. Unroofing of garlic cloves

The de-topping of garlic cloves is also a major measure to make garlic germinate quickly. However, there are a lot of problems for many people, that is, when breaking garlic cloves, there will be a top at the bottom of the cloves for a variety of reasons. The top of garlic is very hard, if there is no top, then it is very disadvantageous to the rooting and sprouting of garlic. Therefore, when we break the garlic cloves, we must pay attention to remove the garlic top. If it is difficult to remove by hand, soak it in water until you can see the small hole in the middle of the garlic, but be careful not to hurt the germ of the garlic.

3. Soak in clean water

Before sowing garlic, we can soak the garlic seeds in clean water to promote germination, which can also promote the rapid germination of garlic. This method is very simple to operate and is suitable for all growers. After breaking the garlic cloves, soak them in clean and pollution-free water for about two days. Then remove it and put it in wet sand, or cover it with fine soil for about three days. However, after the root buds of garlic seeds are exposed, and the amount of white exposure is more than half, they can be sown. After this treatment, seedlings can emerge about five days after sowing.

4. Low temperature treatment

As I just said, it is very disadvantageous to the germination of garlic in high temperature environment. Therefore, we need to treat garlic at low temperature to break the dormancy period of garlic, so as to achieve the goal of rapid germination of garlic. First of all, soak the garlic seeds in cold water for about 7-9 hours, then put them out in a bag and put them in a low temperature environment for about a week. More than half of the garlic seeds can be sown after the root buds are white. You can also put it directly in a cool and humid environment, keep the thickness around 10cm, and then spray water frequently and turn it over every three days or so. Allowing garlic cloves to receive water evenly can promote the rapid germination of garlic.

The above is a brief introduction to the method of rapid germination of garlic. That's all for today's introduction. This article is for reference only. I hope it can be helpful to everyone.
