1. Hydroponic materials

Before hydroponic culture, the materials and tools of hydroponic culture should be prepared in advance, including hydroponic plants, glass containers, clear water, nutrient solution and other materials.

2. Hydroponic container

The container of hydroponic culture of Cymbidium must choose a transparent container, which is mainly easy to observe the root growth of the plant. It is generally recommended to use glass containers, of course, can also use plastic bottles.

Whether you use glass bottles or plastic bottles, you must disinfect them before hydroponics, and then carry out hydroponics. The bottle size depends on the size of the selected plant.

Tap water can be used for water quality, but it needs to be left outside for 1-2 days before use.

3. Plant selection.

For hydroponic plants of Cymbidium, choose plants that grow well and are healthy, and avoid using plants that are affected by diseases and insect pests. Before hydroponics, the plants of Cymbidium need to be soaked in potassium permanganate solution for 10 minutes and disinfected.

Then clean with clean water, in the cleaning process, do not hurt the gentleman orchid root, in addition, some withered roots can be cut off.

4. Hydroponic culture method

First put the prepared tap water into a vase, keep the water surface at a distance of about 2-3 cm from the mouth of the bottle, then prepare a grid barrier, and pass the orchid plant through the grid barrier, exposing the roots of the orchid at the other end.

After that, put the orchid plant directly into the water and let the root of the orchid be inserted into the water. Then put the hydroponic bottle in a ventilated and cool place for maintenance and wait patiently for the root system to grow.

5. Maintenance after hydroponics

After hydroponics, you need to change the water every 3-5 days. In the process of changing the water, you must not hurt the roots of the orchid.

When the ambient temperature is kept at 15-25 ℃, new roots will be sent out in about 15 days. When new roots are sent, astigmatism can be given slowly, which is beneficial to the growth of plants.

After the orchid plant has new roots, the nutrient solution can be added appropriately to help the plant grow.

If rotten roots are found in the process of hydroponic culture, the plants should be taken out in time, and the roots should be cut off and disinfected at the same time. After that, the water is changed for hydroponics.
