Many people do not know how to reproduce seedlings, in fact, Cymbidium can be propagated through ramet, sowing and root system. The seed plant on the root system is broken off when the plant is divided, and the seedlings can grow in the soil for 1 ~ 2 months after treatment; sowing is to soak the seeds for half an hour and sprinkle them into the soil, and the seedlings can emerge after watering and curing for half a month; for root propagation, the fleshy roots should be cut off and planted in the soil after disinfection, and the seedlings will grow after careful maintenance for about 3 months.

1. Ramet propagation of Cymbidium.

Cymbidium can grow into seedlings through ramet propagation, first detach its mother plant from the soil, and then remove the soil from its roots to keep the roots healthy. Gently break off the seed plant of Cymbidium with your hand, or choose to cut it with a knife to divide it into small plants.

Apply dried charcoal powder to the wound of the small plant and sterilize it to avoid infection and decay of the wound. The treated small plants will be planted in the disinfected soil, and then watered and watered through the soil to do a good job of maintenance, in about 1-2 months, the small plants will slowly take root into seedlings.

2. Sowing and propagation of Cymbidium

Cymbidium can also be sowed and propagated, so how do you breed seedlings by using the seeds? first of all, take down the seeds and store them when they bear fruit. When sowing, soak the seeds in about 39 ℃ of warm water. Half an hour later, take out the seeds and put them in a cool place to dry.

Prepare the mixed soil of forest soil and fine sand prepared at 2:1, sow the treated seeds directly on the soil, then cover them with a thin layer of flowers and trees, and then spray water to soak the soil after compaction. Keep the temperature at about 20-25 ℃, and the seeds will germinate and grow seedlings in half a month.

3. Root propagation of Cymbidium.

The root system of Cymbidium is well developed, so it can also be propagated, clean the root system when changing pots every year, then rinse the root system with water, break off the healthy and stout fleshy root above it, its length is above 0.5cm, and then stab out 3 or 5 wounds at the top of the fleshy root with a needle.

Mix perlite and vermiculite at 4:1, and then put it in the sun to sterilize. Plant the fleshy root tip of the dried wound down into the flowerpot, then spray a small amount of water to make the soil slightly wet, and then leave it in a cool and ventilated place to keep the temperature at 15: 20 ℃. After 3 months, the roots will grow new buds called seedlings.
