Generally speaking, the new orchid will not be finished until more than three months later, but you can see whether the orchid has taken the pot and survived after a month or so. Because in the month after potting, the orchid is still adapting to the new environment and has not yet grown new roots. About a month after entering the pot, it is observed that the old leaves of the plant are not yellowing or wilting, but the new leaves grow out and the leaves grow green.

1. How long will it take to survive

The potted period of orchids varies according to their growth environment and plant size, but generally speaking, whether they survive or not can be seen in one to three months. About 20 days after entering the pot, the plant can be observed. If the old leaf does not turn over and wilt, and the heart of the leaf still grows a new tender green leaf, it will survive, but survival does not mean that the pot has been completed. Do not fertilize immediately. You can wait until a month or so. If the growth momentum is still good and the leaves are getting stronger and stronger, they will survive safely through the pot period. Then normal maintenance can be carried out.

Second, how to take the basin

Orchids in the pot when the root system should be properly trimmed, especially the old root, rotten root, overlong root, etc., after pruning, rinse, and then sterilization, prevent drying in a cool place. After disinfecting the pot soil, add the base fertilizer and plant the dried plants so that the root system and the basin soil stick together and stretch out. Spray water to wet the basin soil, slightly damp, do not accumulate water, careful maintenance in the later stage, safely through the basin.
