Planting techniques of single-headed garlic
In recent years, single-headed garlic is favored by consumers because of its round shape and easy to eat, but in the process of garlic cultivation, the production of single-headed garlic is reduced as much as possible, so the yield is low. Therefore, in order to meet the needs of the public, the artificial cultivation of single-headed garlic came into being. Let's take a look at the planting technology of single-headed garlic together with the editor.
1. Garlic species selection
The selection of good garlic seed is the key to planting single garlic. It is appropriate to sow garlic with full, disease-free and pest-free garlic cloves with a mass of 0.8-1.5 g. It has been learned over time that if the seed of garlic is more than 2 grams, then the garlic is overnourished, and the garlic is very easy to split and cannot form a single garlic, while if the seed of garlic is less than 0.5 grams, the garlic produced is too small and has no economic value, so the amount of 0.8-1.5 g is the best.
2. Sowing time
In the production of single-headed garlic, the planting time is the top priority, and whether it can be planted successfully is directly related to the planting time. Through experiments, it is known that when sowing from mid-late December to early January of the following year, the probability of single-headed garlic production is the highest, which can reach about 90%, and the commodity is good. If sowing too early or too late, it is very easy to split, for example, sowing after March, then the plant mortality rate is more than 50%, so the production of single garlic must grasp the planting time.
3. Sowing seeds
Because sowing is in the cold winter and the soil is frozen, sowing will be difficult, so it can be planted in a small arch shed. After the previous harvest, one or two crops of leafy vegetables can be planted some time before sowing, and the small arch shed can be buckled at the right time according to the change of air temperature. Remove the small arch shed when sowing garlic, level the land, and sow seeds in trenches. In addition, because the head of garlic is small, compared with the planting area of ordinary garlic, its yield is lower, so in order to improve the economic benefit, it is better to plant 100000 plants per mu, that is, the row spacing is 10cm when sowing, and the plant spacing is about 7.5cm. Higher economic benefits can be obtained. 4. Field management
If the soil fertility is fertile, 100 kg of high-quality compound fertilizer can be applied per mu. If the soil fertility is barren, it is appropriate to apply more than 150 kg of high-quality compound fertilizer per mu. In the growing period to pay attention to timely weeding, and watering is also more frequent than ordinary garlic, generally every 20 days need to be watered. In addition, we should also pay attention to the prevention and control of garlic maggots and leek maggots, and the harvest time of single garlic is worse than that of ordinary garlic. when the garlic leaves turn gray-green, the bottom leaves are withered and yellow, and the pseudostems are soft and fully expanded, they can be harvested.
The above is the introduction of garlic planting technology, hope to help you, want to know more related knowledge, please pay attention to us.
