Flowers suffer from yellowing because of iron deficiency. At present, the main measure to treat this disease is to apply ferrous sulfate. Due to the inaccurate diagnosis, the phenomenon of flower injury caused by improper application of ferrous sulfate occurs frequently.

Under normal circumstances, it is not accurate to conclude that flowers suffer from chlorosis based on the yellowing of branches and leaves, because many factors can cause flower branches and leaves to yellowing. Here is a simple and safe diagnostic method.

Take 1 gram of ferrous sulfate and dissolve it in 200 ml water. Because this dilute ferrous sulfate solution is easy to deteriorate, a small nail and a drop of concentrated sulfuric acid should be put in to prevent it from being oxidized and hydrolyzed. Pour the ferrous sulfate solution into the brown bottle and keep it sealed. In the future, you can take this solution at any time to diagnose whether the flowers have yellowing. When in use, as long as it is dipped in some ferrous sulfate solution and coated on a leaf of the flower to be diagnosed, and observed 10 days later, if the leaf turns green, it means that the diagnosed flower suffers from chlorosis. Treatment should be given.
