Changing pots is an important measure to raise potted flowers. Because the soil for potted flowers is artificially prepared, it has enough nutrients at first, and due to the growth of plants, the nutrients in the soil, especially trace elements, are constantly consumed, and even if a large amount of fertilizer is applied, it can not keep up with the needs of plant growth, so it is necessary to supplement nutritious newcomers. In addition, regular fertilization and watering will make the soil solidified and poor air permeability; too much and too dense plant roots will also affect the growth of plants, so it is necessary to change pots to replenish new soil. The small basin should be changed once in 1 to 2 years, and the large basin should be changed once in 3 to 4 years. You usually have to change a larger basin every time.

When changing the basin, it is best to keep 1/3 old soil, add 2/3 new soil, increase fertilizer, and properly trim the old root and whisker root. The basin change should be carried out before the flowers are about to germinate in early spring. After changing the basin for half a day, pour enough water, put it in the shade, and then gradually move under the sun eight to ten days later.

The method of changing the pot of flower seedlings is to gently tap the edge of the flowerpot with your hand, which is used to hold the flower seedling, bring the side of the flowerpot, take out the soil, peel off the edge of the mud ball and the upper end of the soil, put it into a large basin, fill the new soil in the space, and plug the soil tightly with bamboo cuttings.

The method of changing pots for larger plants is different from that for seedlings. The species is that the original plant changes the original pot. After the plant is poured out, the ball is stripped off a layer of soil, the old roots and top tips are cut off, and then the flowers and trees are still planted in the original pot. In this way, the stem is long and thick, and the crown is enlarged. This method is suitable for cultivating bonsai. The other is to change the original plant into a large basin, pour out the soil, cut off some branches appropriately, trim the root system carefully, cut off the coiled lateral root, and generally do not cut the straight root. After removing part of the old soil, use the new soil, plant the original plant in a larger pot, and then water it.
