According to the plant height, the flower can be divided into three types: dwarf type is only 15-25cm, middle plant type is 25-70cm, and tall plant type can be as high as 120cm.

It has strong adaptability to the environment and is easy to be cultivated and managed. it can not only be planted in clumps in the open field, but also can be appreciated in pots.

The cultivation of potted flower iris is often combined with propagation. There are two methods of reproduction: ramet and sowing. Ramets are carried out in early spring or late autumn, and those cultivated in the open field should first make a planting bed and apply bean cake fertilizer or barnyard manure as base fertilizer; withered branches and old roots should be cut off first, and then the roots should be divided, leaving 2-3 buds per stem as a bunch, with 2-3 bunches as a plant, planting 9-15 plants per square meter, and planting depth to the root of the stem.

After planting, water once, then often loosen the soil and weed, if the growth is not good, you should topdressing 2-3 times. Cut off the flower stem after flowering to save nutrients, and cut off the dead leaves after winter. The pot method is the same, but people should be moved to survive the winter without special warming.
