How to accelerate germination of Cymbidium Seeds
The seeds of Cymbidium can be accelerated by stratification, soaking and adding sawdust. Stratification is the mixing of sand and seeds to reduce abscisic acid and then germinate; soaking the seeds with sodium phosphate for 20 minutes, then soaking in 40 ℃ water for 24 hours; adding sawdust in the process of germination can increase the oxygen concentration, which is conducive to germination.
1. Stratification
Magnolia is a plant of Amaryllidaceae, they all have a certain dormant period, there is abscisic acid in the seeds, which can slowly reduce the abscisic acid through stratification. Prepare a lot of sand, stir the seeds with the sand, and pour some water to keep the soil moist. In the spring, the seeds are taken out and sown, and then they can germinate.
2. Soak
Soak the seeds with sodium phosphate before soaking. Wash the seeds 20 minutes later, ready to soak. This can promote the speed of seed cell division and differentiation and make it germinate quickly. Before sprouting, you can dry it and soak it in 40 ℃ warm water for 24 hours. After the seeds absorb enough water, contract and shine, they are cultivated in the soil.
3. Add sawdust
In the process of accelerating germination, the seed needs enough oxygen to complete its growth, so in the process of accelerating germination, you can put some sawdust at the bottom of the basin to help the seed breathe and prevent it from growing too slowly.
