There are mainly two ways of propagation: ramet and sowing. Ramets need to wait until the leaves of the offspring from the base of the mother plant grow to 10-15 cm, cut it off by the root and plant it into the new soil. To sow, you need to prepare the seed first, then bury it in the soil with its back up, water it at the right time, and wait for it to germinate.

I. split-plant propagation

1. Time: it can split in about two years, and can be carried out in all seasons, but it is most suitable in February-May in spring and September-November in autumn.

2. Methods: some daughter plants will be born at the base of the mother plant. When their leaves grow to 10-15 cm, they are cut off from the mother plant with a fast blade and planted in a more breathable flower soil. Spread clean river sand around its roots and put it in a place where the light is softer. Cover the plant with a transparent bag and spray water on it at the right time to keep the soil 50% moist, and new roots can grow in about 20-25 days.

3. Management of the mother plant: after the ramet, it is recommended to apply wood ash to the wound of the mother plant, and reduce the amount of water and increase the amount of fertilizer in the following month to help it recover.

2. Sowing and propagation

1. Time: sowing can also be carried out all the year round, mainly according to the time of seed harvest. It is best to sow the seeds immediately after harvest, because the seeds are not yet withered and the seedlings will emerge quickly.

2. Method: the bulging face of the seed is facing up, and the average is placed on the surface of humus soil, and the top is covered with a layer of sandy soil, and the thickness is twice as thick as the diameter of the seed. Then wet the loam and cover it with a transparent glass plate to maintain humidity. After that, put it in a cool and ventilated place and water it properly to keep the flower soil slightly wet and wait for it to sprout.
