Planting orchids should be carried out in warm weather and can be sown in spring and summer, in the south in March and delayed until April in the north. When planting, you should choose fresh seeds, put them in warm water to promote germination, and prepare an acidic substrate suitable for its growth. The small eyes of the seeds are down, sowed into the soil, and then placed in a ventilated place after covering the soil.

First, planting time

When planting Cymbidium seeds, we should try to choose when it is warm in spring and summer, the southern region can be carried out in March in spring, while the northern region can be later, sowing around April. However, the climate varies from region to region, so the specific time will also vary, as long as the temperature is not particularly low.

II. Planting methods

1. Seed selection: wait until the color of the pericarp turns black-purple, cut it off, and then wait about half a month to take out the seed. Fresh and full seeds are the first choice for planting, and the germination rate of such seeds is relatively high.

2. Sprouting: soak the selected seeds in 30 °warm water for about half an hour, and then soak them in nutrient solution for half an hour. It is easier to germinate.

3. Matrix: the slightly acidic matrix should be prepared before planting, and its air permeability should be good enough. Put it into the basin after disinfection and flatten it after being soaked in water.

3. Sowing: sow the seeds into the substrate, turn the eyelids down, and cover them with 2-3cm soil. Water it thoroughly after sowing and place it in a ventilated place.
