Treatment of soft rot of potted orchids with alcohol

The orchid soft rot is distressed by today's orchid people: Zhujilan's practical experience in treating soft rot with alcohol is worth popularizing. The specific operation steps are as follows.

(1) prepare medicines. Buy pentachloronitrobenzene and 75% medical alcohol for spare.

(2) cut off the diseased seedlings. When it was found that the orchid had soft rot, the diseased seedlings were immediately cut off, leaving only the Reed head. The dry basin is no longer watered.

(3) Reed head was injected with alcohol. Remove the plant material around the Reed head to reveal the complete Reed head. With a 5 ml syringe, extract the sprinkler and inject it into the edge of the Reed head. You can also insert the Reed head and let it spill naturally. After 2 hours, the alcohol will evaporate.

(4) apply pentachloronitrobenzene to the head of Reed. Sprinkle 3-5 grams of pentachloronitrobenzene dry powder on the head of Reed and cover it with plant material to sterilize it in one step.

(5) pay attention to matters. After applying pentachloronitrobenzene to the Reed head, do not water or divide the seedlings within 3 days. After that, abnormal maintenance can be done.

After this treatment, the diseased Reed head will dry up with the evaporation of alcohol, while the rest of the orchid seedlings will be safe and sound.
