In recent years, orchids have been planted at home by more and more flower lovers because of their clear leaves, flowers and fragrance. However, because the orchid is a relatively "delicate" flower, it has higher requirements for environmental conditions such as water, fertilizer, soil, temperature and light, especially in winter, it may wither if it is not paid attention to. The following editor will share with you what aspects you need to pay attention to in the conservation of orchids in the northern region in winter.

First, keep the right temperature. In winter, the outdoor temperature is relatively low, and it is often attacked by cold currents, so orchids placed outdoors must be moved indoors in time and placed in places where they can often shine on the sun. if there are conditions, it is better to put them in a closed sunny balcony, because long-term sunshine in winter is very beneficial to the growth, budding and flowering of orchids in the coming year. The indoor temperature is controlled between 5 ℃ and 15 ℃. The indoor temperature is too low to protect against cold and heat preservation. Too high will affect the dormancy of orchids.

Second, watering should be properly controlled. After the Beginning of Winter, the orchid is about to enter a dormant state, when the orchid physiological activities are reduced, not much water is needed, and it can be satisfied by keeping some moisture in the soil; if it is too dry, warm Rain Water or snow water can be used and a small amount of water can be sprayed with a fine-hole spray can in sunny weather to make the basin slightly tidal and do not pour too much water.

Third, we should pay attention to controlling fertilizer and increasing luster. During the hibernation period of orchids in winter, there is generally no need to apply fertilizer. If there is not enough light indoors, incandescent lamps can be used to supplement light to facilitate orchid photosynthesis, produce nutrients, and lay the foundation for next year's growth and bud blooming.

Fourth, ventilation should be carried out in a timely manner. Orchids like to be warm, but they are afraid of smoke, oil and gas, so they can open windows for ventilation around noon in sunny weather for a long time to facilitate overwintering growth.

Fifth, we should pay attention to disease prevention and control. Orchids overwintering indoors are very easy to breed germs because of their high temperature and humidity, so Charan plants should be diligent. Once diseases are found, they should be treated with medicine in time. On weekdays, protective measures should be taken, such as spraying basin soil, orchid plants and the ground environment around the orchid basin with Bordeaux liquid, so as to eliminate or reduce the occurrence of diseases and insect pests.
