Later, considering that they were old and that rural life in the citrus orchards had almost disappeared, there was a gap between rural life and culture, and the cost of participating in the activities was not cheap, so most of the younger generation simply could not afford it, so they no longer participated in the sacred pig activities. in addition, the banquet in the citrus garden on the first day of September every year to welcome the evening guests is also suspended.

In the second year of high school, Grandpa decided to have a table for the last time, with 40 tables. I have been a follower since I was a child. When I was a child, I spent most of my time watching TV with two guys in my grandparents' room. Grandpa said that one of the tables could be sent to me and asked me to ask my high school classmates to come to the citrus garden to have a table.

The high school classmates born in the cement city (most of them live in Xinzhuang and Banqiao) feel incredible about coming to the citrus garden to eat and run the table. I try to explain that they still don't understand at all. after all, everything about agriculture, rural culture and rural areas is a complete stranger to urbanites!

The culture of my hometown inevitably disappears in the changing tide of the times, just like after Grandpa passed away, the younger generation was almost separated from rural life and rural culture.

In the evening, there will be a wave of cars in the whole citrus orchard, and relatives and friends will rush to eat safely, crowding the countryside. This is a unique local diet and cultural custom in rural areas. Dahan Creek connects Daxi, Yingge, three Gorges and Citrus Garden. Each village invites each other to eat peace on special festivals, and taking turns to set up tables and visit each other's doors has become one of the important rituals to maintain each other's feelings in the agricultural era.

However, the era of agriculture will eventually pass. In 1980, the citrus and southern orchards in the five li of the citrus garden were included in the urban plan, and the 20-year-old Taipei University community special area plan hit the local countryside. A whole piece of farmland in the southern garden and the citrus garden has been turned into a 20-or 30-story high-rise building, which is now the special zone of Peking University. In particular, the route of Luo Gong has not changed with the urban plan to expropriate citrus garden farmland, and the city (Peking University Special Economic Zone) and township (citrus orchard) separated by the second high zone of the north have created a strange scene around the border.
