1. Aquaculture water depth

Water depth is very important for fish. Fish are divided into deep-water fish and shallow-water fish according to water depth, while herring prefer shallow-water fish, so ponds for herring culture generally do not need to be very deep. Herring is daily active at a depth of about 1.5-2.5 meters. No matter how deep the water is, the herring will not go into the water. Secondly, the water temperature at this depth will be more suitable for the herring to survive, neither frozen nor easily exposed to the sun. When building aquaculture ponds, the depth is about the same, and the water depth of many farmers is not deep enough. Finally, the growth of herring is basically not ideal.

2. Culture density

The density of herring culture is very important. generally speaking, herring culture needs mixed culture, because pure herring culture is not profitable enough, herring itself belongs to relatively long species, so its density is not very high. Generally speaking, the number of herring fry in an acre of pond is controlled at about 200-300, and then some silver carp, carp, bighead carp and other species are mixed, and the number varies from several hundred. In addition, the mixed fish must be smaller than the herring, so that the herring will not be hurt by the mixed species.

3. Culture time

Herring culture time is relatively long, it is not like other fish species, a few months at most a year can be out of the column, the herring is to walk the weight advantage, it is relatively easy to grow to ten or twenty jin. Generally speaking, herring culture takes about 2-3 years to sell. This is something that farmers should pay more attention to. Many people are accustomed to raising herring as other species of fish and selling them ahead of time. Small weight herring has little advantage, because many fish are more popular than small herring, so culture time should be enough, don't ignore it.

4. Aquatic environment

Some people habitually ignore the growth environment of the fish, which does not work here. The herring needs to pay attention to the aquatic environment, because it has to grow here for several years, and the herring does not grow very much when the aquatic environment is poor. In addition to the good water quality and the fluidity of the water, the disinfection hygiene of the pond must also be qualified, otherwise the herring will be more likely to get sick. When the aquatic environment is not good, the herring will choose to live on the upper surface of the water, and eventually die because they do not adapt to the growing environment above.
