In order to improve the recognition and competitiveness of Taichung agricultural products in the international market, the Taichung Municipal Bureau of Agriculture recently assisted the Fengyuan District Farmers' Association to go to Brunei first Department Store to hold international marketing and diversified application promotion activities for citrus and green onions in Taichung City. In addition to providing trial food, cooking courses are also held, which are very popular with local consumers.
The Taichung Municipal Bureau of Agriculture said that Brunei's first Department Store purchases high-quality tangerines in Taichung all the year round, and before this year's festival, the Fengyuan District Farmers' Association held marketing activities at the department store, which not only allowed consumers to try fresh citrus and green onion cuisine in Taichung, but also planned cooking study courses. The chef of Taiwan's five-star hotel led local consumers to understand the citrus and green onion industry, and marketed local agricultural products in Taichung.
The Taichung Municipal Bureau of Agriculture points out that Taichung tangerine is moderately sour and sweet, juicy and delicious, and its appearance is bright; Maogu mandarin is sweet and full-bodied, and gifts for self-use during the Spring Festival are all quite pleasing. In addition, the green onions produced by Fengyuan are more juicy, crisp, sweet and fresh than ordinary onions, and they have been widely welcomed by Brunei consumers in recent years. This year, 35 metric tons of oranges are expected to be exported to Brunei, and scallions will continue to be promoted to Brunei consumers.
