1. Dig up the plant

2. Pruning rotten roots

After washing the roots of the orchid, we can clearly see the rotten roots, cut off all the rotten roots with sterilized scissors, then smear the wound with charcoal, or rinse the roots with potassium permanganate water for about 10 minutes in the sun and sterilize with ultraviolet rays.

If the root of Cymbidium is seriously rotten, after pruning, sterilization and disinfection, it can be put into fine sand to root.

If only a few roots are rotten, you can transplant them into the nutrient soil that has been replaced, control watering within half a month, and recover after one or two months.

If the fleshy roots are all rotten, you can cut off all the rotten roots, wash the roots, apply charcoal powder or fine furnace ash, and put them in a fine sand basin to promote the roots. after two or three months, they can also take root and send leaves again.

3. Replant

After treatment, the rotten roots of Cymbidium need to be replanted in the potted soil. It should be noted here that it is best not to use the original potted soil. In addition, prepare a new flowerpot and use the rotten leaf soil as the culture soil. Plant the magnolia into the pot, place it in a semi-shaded place for maintenance, and keep the potted soil moist. Generally, after half a month, the plant will be able to grow new roots!

1. Drainage of basin soil

We should pay attention to the good drainage of the basin soil. when we put on the basin, we need to pad a layer of particles such as broken tiles and ceramsite of about two or three centimeters as a drainage layer, and the basin soil needs to ensure loose, fertile and good drainage, and a little river sand can be properly added to the nutritious soil.

2. Control watering

The most important thing to prevent the rotten roots of Cymbidium is to pay attention to water control, in flowering and winter watering must pay attention to keep the basin soil slightly dry, the soil can be replenished only after the soil is dry.

3. Do not apply thick fertilizer

When fertilizing the orchid, do not use thick fertilizer, if you fertilize too much, it is easy to cause fertilizer damage, excessive fertilization or excessive concentration is easy to cause harm to the orchid.
