When does the orchid blossom?
Normally, it blooms in spring, but sometimes it blooms in summer. Its flowering time and flowering length are related to the area and breeding method. Generally, it will bloom after 4-5 years of cultivation, and it will bloom in 2-3 years if it is well maintained. If it does not bloom, it must be caused by improper breeding methods and should be symptomatic.
I. Flowering season
Clivia is generally open in spring, we can see it bloom during the New Year to the Spring Festival. Under normal circumstances, flowering is around February to April, and some flower friends plant flowers in June and July. Its flowering time and planting areas, methods have a certain impact, so flowering is not very fixed.
This flower needs to grow for a long time before flowering, generally to cultivate 4 or 5 years before flowering, should wait for the plant to grow 20-25 leaves before flowering. If it is well maintained, it can bloom in 2 or 3 years. The length of its flowering period is not fixed, and it has a certain relationship with the climate of the breeding environment.
Second, what to do without flowering
1. Increase light: Clivia does not bloom because the breeding environment is too dark. If you want it to bloom, you should increase light appropriately and let the plants see sunlight as much as possible.
2. Reduce nitrogen fertilizer: When fertilizing, the amount of nitrogen fertilizer must not be too much, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer should be applied appropriately, and the amount of nitrogen fertilizer should be reduced.
3, adjust the temperature: it is best to adjust the temperature to the appropriate range, the room temperature is best between 18-28℃, the temperature at night is not too low, about 8-10℃ can be, too low temperature will affect its flowering.
