How to grow Clivia seeds, Clivia planting methods
Soak the seeds before sowing, soak the seeds in warm water of 30-35 ℃ for 20-30 minutes, take out and dry for 1-2 hours. Use rotten leaf soil with fine sand to prepare basin soil, or use shavings or wood chaff as a substrate to plant seeds with small eyes down and cover them with 2-3 cm on top. Spray water properly after sowing to keep the substrate moist. Check regularly and usually sprout in 15 days.
First, soaking seeds to accelerate germination
Before sowing magnolia, you need to soak its seeds. Soak the seeds in water, keep the water temperature between 30-35 ℃, soak for 20-30 minutes and then take out. After it is taken out, it can be hung for 1-2 hours, or soaked in sodium phosphate solution for 20-30 minutes, and then washed with clean water. Seed soaking can make the seed absorb a certain amount of water, help it germinate, and improve disease resistance.
2. Preparation of basin soil
If you want to make the seedlings grow better, you must prepare special culture soil. A relatively simple method is to mix rotten leaf soil with fine sand and mix them according to the proportion of 2:1. Professional breeding needs to use shavings or wood chaff, as well as fine sand or rotten leaves, but the effect is not as good as the first two. Disinfect the shavings before use, then soak them in water and press them in a basket.
Third, sowing seeds
The sowing time of Cymbidium is not strict, as long as the temperature is between 20-25 ℃, the seeds can germinate, so sowing must be carried out in a warm environment. Lower the small eyes of the seeds into the shavings and pay attention to the spacing. Then cover it with 2-3 cm shavings and flatten it gently. After spraying water properly, put it in a ventilated place.
IV. Follow-up maintenance
In the process of breeding, open the shavings regularly to see if the seeds have germinated, wash your hands before looking, or use clean strips of wood, do not get oil stains on the substrate, or it will infect the seeds. Water should be watered at regular intervals to keep the matrix moist. If the temperature is controlled between 15-30 ℃, it can sprout in half a month.
