In general, the winter temperature in the north is lower, so when cultivating high-temperature flowers, we should pay attention to heat preservation, such as Prynne, Milan and other winter room temperature can not be lower than 10 ℃. And in summer, should choose ventilated cool place to put cyclamen, crab claw orchid and other cool plants. The method of temperature regulation can also be used to control the florescence, so as to achieve the purpose of flowering on demand.

In winter, the plants growing in the room are difficult to meet the requirements at room temperature because of the uneven heating time. The temperature difference between day and night is very bad for plant growth. Therefore, we should pay attention to ventilation, strictly prevent dryness, and frequently spray water on the plants, so as to increase air humidity. The plant should keep a certain distance from the heating to prevent the increase in temperature from causing the leaf to dry.

Temperature is one of the most important environmental factors affecting the growth and development of flowers, and it is also the most closely related, because it affects all physiological changes in plants. The growth and development of each kind of flower has certain requirements for temperature, and there are three basic points of temperature:

1. Minimum temperature

The minimum temperature required for flowers to begin to grow. if it is below this temperature, flowers do not begin to grow.

2. The optimum temperature

In the optimum temperature range, flowers grow rapidly, robust and grow best.

3. Maximum temperature

Beyond this temperature, the plant also stops growing.

Different types of flowers, different climatic types of origin, the three basic points of temperature are also different. Flowers originating in the tropics grow at a higher base point temperature and generally begin to grow at 18 ℃; flowers originating in temperate zones grow at a lower base point temperature and generally begin to grow at about 10 ℃; flowers originating in the subtropics grow at a temperature between the two, generally starting at about 15-16 ℃.

For example, the seeds of tropical aquatic flowers, king lotus, can only germinate and grow at a water temperature of 30-35 ℃, while most species of Cactaceae need a high temperature of more than 28 ℃ to grow. Paeonia lactiflora originating in temperate zone will not die underground under the condition of minus ten degrees Celsius in Beijing in winter, and can sprout and unearth at about 10 ℃ in the next spring. The optimum temperature for growth is the most suitable for growth.

The optimal growth temperature referred to here is different from the optimal temperature in plant physiology, that is, the temperature when the growth rate is the fastest, but that at this temperature, not only the growth is fast, but also the growth is very strong and not overgrown.
