Build the first solar photovoltaic wind and rain stadium in Taichung! In order to provide sports space for young people not affected by the weather, Taichung City Sports Bureau built a solar photovoltaic roof at two full-court basketball courts in Sanhe Park, Daya District, which can generate about 33000 kilowatt-hours of electricity a year and provide annual electricity consumption for nearly 10 families. it is estimated that the annual carbon dioxide emissions will be reduced by 18.36 metric tons, which is equivalent to the annual carbon absorption of 1800 trees, taking into account high-quality sports space and carbon reduction and anti-air pollution functions. Construction is expected to start in March and be completed in December.

Li Yuyi, director of sports in Taichung City, said that to promote Taichung City into a sunny, sports, and healthy city, the city government worked with solar photovoltaic manufacturers to build photovoltaic solar roofs in Sanhe Park in Daya District to solve the problem of hot weather and stagnant water in stadiums during the rainy season, and provide better sports space for young people and nearby residents.

The Taichung City Sports Bureau pointed out that what is special about this stadium is that the solar power generation system is set up high, and the wind and rain stadium can be set up in the space below, so that the land can be fully utilized and the maximum benefit can be achieved, hoping to improve the utilization rate of the stadium. Taking into account the environmental protection education goal of green energy power generation, a pre-construction seminar is expected to be held in Sanhe Park on January 14, and the construction will be started in March and completed in December.

Solar photovoltaic roofs will be built at the basketball court in Sanhe Park, Daya District, Taichung City, ▲-about 330000 kilowatt-hours of electricity will be generated in a year.
