Those who have raised flowers believe that they have seen flowers and leaves wilting or even the whole plant wilting. Generally speaking, in case of potted plant wilting, the first thing is to see if the flowers are too dry, then see if the flower soil is very wet, consider whether the roots are rotten, and the third is to see if the ventilation conditions are good enough.

There are more than two or three reasons for potted plants wilting. Here are a detailed list of flower friends.

1 drought

Flowers failed to be watered in time due to long-term drought, wilting from the top down, and the cortex of branches shriveled until the whole plant died. At this time, it is necessary to spray water on the leaves of flowers and the surrounding environment, maintain a high ambient humidity, and avoid using a large amount of cold water or even ice water to irrigate flowers in a high temperature environment.

In addition, when the weather is dry and the pot soil is too dry, flower wilting is a common phenomenon. In the high temperature and dry season, the water evaporation of flower leaves is relatively large, the pot soil is dry early, there is no water supplement, and the plants are easy to wilt. At this time, potted flowers should be moved to a cool place, and so on pot soil slightly cool, with close to the temperature of the water potted flowers will be watered thoroughly.

2 water.

The water content in the soil is too large, the plant root system respiration is blocked and suffocated, and the branches and leaves cannot get the water supply of the root system, resulting in wilting and dying. Avoid direct light and strong wind blowing on the affected flowers, cut off some young shoots and leaves, and reduce water evaporation. Remove 1/3 of the over-wet pot soil, add dry soil and replant, combine with foliar spraying, spray thin liquid fertilizer once every 3 days. After 10 days of maintenance, the injured flowers can recover.

Usually novice flower cultivation process, easy to water too much, pot soil too wet lead to flower wilting, due to too much watering, pot soil long-term wet state, even ponding, pot soil permeability is poor, flower roots injured, the whole plant leaves wilting phenomenon. At this point, stop watering and loosen the soil. In serious cases, it is necessary to take off the basin and change the soil, cut off the rotten roots, replant them, and put them in a cool place for maintenance.

3 wind wilting

Flowers produce new shoots, especially when spring shoots grow in large quantities, often wilting under strong light and strong wind. At this time to take shade, shelter, foliar spray to prevent new shoots from losing water and wilting.

4. Heat wilting

Summer like cool environment flowers, if placed in strong light, high temperature places, leaves will appear wilting roll, or even yellow fall off. It should be placed immediately in a moist, ventilated, cool place.

5 cold.

The temperature fluctuates greatly in winter, and the temperature drops suddenly below 10℃ at night. The leaves of hibiscus, jasmine, azalea and other flowers will wither and lose luster in the morning, and gradually recover after the temperature rises at noon. Short-term cold wilting has little effect on flowers, but attention should be paid to keeping warm.

Temperature drop: autumn, temperature changes greatly, night temperature below 10℃, like warm southern flowers, such as white peony, leaf flowers, jasmine, hibiscus, evergreen flowers, peacock arrowroot, etc., in the morning leaves will wither, noon temperature rise, and can gradually recover, at this time, potted flowers should pay attention to cold.

6 fat wilting

When the fertilizer concentration in the flower soil is too high, it will make the water in the flower plant penetrate into the soil (i.e. reverse osmosis), commonly known as burning roots, causing flowers to wilt and die. The topsoil in the pot should be removed and watered with water, so that excess fertilizer flows out from the bottom of the pot with water, and then a layer of plain soil covers the pot surface. At the same time, shade and foliar spraying measures were taken to maintain the life of flowers and leaves, and they could return to normal after 10~20 days.

Excessive fertilization: potted plants due to excessive fertilization. The plant is damaged by fertilizer, causing it to wilt. When this happens, immediately pour water into the basin, dilute the fertilizer, and pad the basin high, so that the water can be quickly discharged from the basin hole. Potted flowers that are seriously damaged by fertilizer should be replaced and their roots washed.

7 Insects

When longicorn beetle and Jiding insect are seriously damaged, they can destroy the conducting tissue of flower trunk or main branch, causing local or whole plant wilting and dying. The wilting caused by insect pests is difficult to recover. Precious flowers can be cut off and grafted.

Pests and diseases harm: underground pests bite the roots of plants, affecting root water absorption, resulting in potted flowers wilting. Potted flowers by blight invasion, roots, stem base rot damage, wilting occurs. For pests and diseases, prevention should be the main priority, such as regular spraying, soil disinfection, etc., once potted flowers appear wilting due to pests and diseases, it is generally difficult to cure.
