How to preserve spinach for a long time in winter
Spinach is a popular vegetable, with autumn spinach, spring spinach and so on. However, through anti-seasonal cultivation, it can basically be planted all year round. And when spinach is planted in winter, if it cannot be fully listed after harvest. Then we need to do a good job of long-term preservation of spinach to avoid spinach being frozen. So how does winter spinach last long? Let's take a look at it together with Xiaobian below!
1. Frozen storage method
First of all, we need to select the soil where spinach grows healthily and the combination of frozen storage with it, each combination is about three rows. First of all, all the spinach roots that need to be frozen must be removed, and the depth should be kept at about 1.5cm. When uprooting the roots, pay attention to keeping the plants neat. Then cover the left and right spinach beds in the middle of the frozen storage bed. Leaves down, roots up, three rows of spinach into a row. On the day of storage, it should be buried tightly with soil and gently patted tightly to ensure that the upper and lower parts are closed to avoid the invasion of thieves.
2. Frozen storage on the ground
A week before spinach is harvested, level the frozen ground and splash water to make sure the top layer of soil doesn't thaw. When storing, some vegetable leaves should be scattered on the ground as the ground. Then bundle the spinach together and place each bundle next to each other on top. Then in spinach around with leaves, straw, etc. covered about 10 cm thick. When spinach is frozen inside, cover it with a layer of sand about 10 cm thick to avoid spinach leaves losing water and reducing the value of the commodity.
3, no ventilation channel storage
In the shade of the place, and its balance trench, trench width about 30cm. The depth should be similar to the height of spinach, not too deep, and the distance between each groove should be maintained at more than 20cm. Bundle spinach for storage and place it upright, root side down, in a ditch. Then sprinkle dry soil over the spinach, just covering it. Then, as the temperature decreases continuously, the soil covering work should be carried out in batches. Cover soil to ensure that there is no gap, play a role in wind and moisture. The final temperature should preferably be maintained at around minus five degrees Celsius, allowing the spinach to be in a slightly frozen state.
4. Ordinary frozen storage
Ordinary freezing is to freeze spinach that needs to be refrigerated on the ground at night, and at noon it can be thawed and harvested. When harvesting, keep the root length at about 1.6cm, clean the soil, and then arrange the bundle. Put it in a cool place, dry it in dew, and lower the temperature of the vegetable. Wait until the weather gets colder and then freeze, and the storage place should have better shade. Level the ground and dig suitable storage trenches, keeping the distance between trenches at about 12 cm. Put the roots down into the ditch, the thickness should be controlled at about 25cm, wait until late winter and then cover with straw, and the temperature in the ditch should be controlled between minus 7 degrees and minus 6 degrees.
The above is a brief introduction to how to preserve spinach in winter for a long time. Today's introduction is here, this article is for reference only, I hope to help everyone oh!
