Solution to the death of vegetable seedlings in greenhouse
The phenomenon of dead seedlings and dead trees will inevitably occur in the process of vegetable planting in the greenhouse, some are caused by diseases and insect pests, and some are caused by improper management, but no matter what the cause is, once it is not prevented in time, then it will spread to the whole greenhouse, resulting in a large area of dead seedlings. So how to solve the dead seedlings of vegetables in the greenhouse? Let's take a look.
1. Soil improvement
The main cause of vegetable seedling death is soil problems, soil consolidation, low content of organic matter, which will affect the growth and development of roots, serious will cause the phenomenon of dead seedlings. Therefore, attention should be paid to soil improvement and conservation to create a good growth environment for the root system in order to avoid the occurrence of dead seedlings. Therefore, it is suggested that we should use more organic fertilizer and microbial fertilizer when changing stubble or base fertilizer, apply bacterial fertilizer when planting, and apply commercial organic fertilizer or microbial fertilizer during the growth period.
2. Chemical root irrigation
During the planting of vegetables, some underground pests such as golden needles and grubs like to eat the roots of seedlings, resulting in the withering and death of aboveground plants; in addition, several diseases of vegetable seedlings can also cause dead seedlings. Therefore, for the diseases and insect pests harmful to the roots of seedlings, in addition to the prevention and control of the disease, the diseased plants can be irrigated with 68% metalaxyl mancozeb + 72% streptomycin, or spring leimycin + king copper + thiophanate methyl + azoxystrobin. At the same time, in order to avoid root injury, rooting agents can be added during root irrigation, which can play a role in root maintenance and root resistance.
3. Control watering
Do not water immediately after the occurrence of dead seedlings. After disinfecting the planting holes and irrigating roots with chemicals, the ground can be fully sprayed with carbendazim and other chemicals to reduce the number of pathogens on the surface of the soil and the possibility of pathogens spreading with water. Although both chemical irrigation and soil disinfection can eliminate pathogens, beneficial bacteria will also be eliminated at the same time, so biological agents should be replenished in time after chemical treatment, because microbial agents can not only increase the number of soil beneficial bacteria, but also inhibit the reproduction of pathogens. It has excellent habits to promote root growth and improve root stress resistance, so as to reduce the possibility of root re-infection by pathogens, but it is best to use them at an interval of about 10 days, so as not to affect the effect of use.
The above is the introduction of the solution to the dead vegetable seedlings in the greenhouse. I hope it can help you. If you want to know more about it, please follow us.
