Time and method of fertilization for leek
Leek is a very common vegetable in our daily life. Leek has many functions and is welcomed by many people. So now leek is basically cultivated in all parts of our country. When growing leeks, if you want high yield of leeks, then fertilization is important. So when should the leek be fertilized? How should it be carried out? The following editor brings you the time and method of fertilizing leek, let's have a look!
1. Fertilization in seedling stage
When we fertilize the leek, we should apply fertilizer according to the growth period of the leek. First of all, it should be leek seedling stage, before sowing leek, we should apply sufficient base fertilizer in the soil, the base fertilizer is mainly rotten barnyard manure, with the right amount of calcium superphosphate and so on. Spread fertilizer evenly on the soil, ploughing and leveling the soil to improve soil fertility. Then after the leek seeds emerged, combined with watering, the human feces and urine were applied for about three times. When fertilizing in the seedling stage, we should pay attention to the simultaneous application of water and fertilizer to prevent leek seedlings from fertilizer damage.
2. Fertilization during transplanting period
Then we should fertilize the leek again during the transplanting period, and we should also apply sufficient base fertilizer before transplanting. The base fertilizer is the same as the fertilizer applied before sowing, mainly rotten farm manure, adding appropriate amount of calcium superphosphate, potassium sulfate and so on. Then rake the transplanting field flat and prepare the bed for planting. After transplanting and planting leek seedlings, the planting water should be poured in time to avoid uneven application of base fertilizer. As a result, local fertilizers produce too much heat, resulting in bad phenomena such as fertilizer damage and root burning.
3. Fertilization during the growing period
We should do a good job of fertilizing the leek after the first year of planting. First of all, watering after planting to improve the survival rate of leek seedlings. Then after the leek seedlings grow new leaves, about 1500 jin of rare human feces and urine are applied per mu, or an appropriate amount of urea. After entering autumn, it is the best season for the growth of leeks. Therefore, at this time, we should apply an appropriate amount of ammonium sulfate every half a month or so, or we can also apply rotten human feces and urine, and also keep the application of water and fertilizer at the same time to avoid fertilizer damage.
4. Fertilization in the second year
In the second year after the Chinese chive was planted, the leek entered the green stage. After the new seedlings are unearthed, farm manure or ammonium sulfate is applied. When the seedlings grow to about 15 cm, apply about 2500 jin of farm manure per mu with the water, and water it once. Then every time the leek is harvested, water and fertilizer management will be carried out after the wound grows new leaves. Do not apply fertilizer to the wound just after harvest to avoid fertilizer damage. When applying fertilizer, organic fertilizer and chemical fertilizer can be applied alternately to meet the nutritional needs of leek growth.
The above is a brief introduction of the time and method of fertilization for leek. That's all for today's introduction. This article is for reference only. I hope it can help you all.
