In order to promote the concept of "cherishing food", the New Taipei Municipal Bureau of Agriculture will hold the "2019 Festival of cherishing Food sharing" in the square in front of the station in Banqiao District, New Taipei City, from 2: 00 p.m. to 6: 00 p.m. on December 14 and 15. This year, in addition to adhering to the spirit of cooking, sharing and cherishing food in previous food-sharing festivals, people are invited to work together to make delicious soups, short lectures and cuisine areas. Zhuang Jing higher Vocational College, Shu Family Merchants and Donghai High School were also invited to act as "Guoyang creative staff" to perform fruit carving LIVE performances together on the event day, and to lead the public on how to do simple fruit and vegetable carving. The event also opens a variety of activities such as on-site voting, like works and classic snacks, so that people who participate in the event will have the opportunity to get exquisite gifts.

Coco Lee, director of agriculture in New Taipei City, said that extra products are agricultural products other than "normal specifications." because they do not sell well, they are more laborious, and they are not accepted by the market, and they are often removed from the first hurdle in the process of production and marketing. but in fact, their quality and nutrition are the same as other fruits and vegetables. In order to avoid food waste, the Christmas Food sharing Festival is held every year, in the hope that the public can experience the true meaning of Christmas treasure and sharing. The theme of this year's event is "ugly fruits and vegetables make a big turnaround, fruit ripples creative employees" as the theme. It is hoped that through the interaction of "employees", the public can change their stereotype of special products of fruits and vegetables and understand that as long as they are skillful, they can easily become delicacies on every family's plate.
