Orchids are relatively delicate flowers and plants, usually pay attention to all aspects of breeding. When just transplanting, the root water should be watered according to the substrate, and the matrix should be watered immediately when it is dry. If it is not dry, it should be watered every other day, and then the light and temperature should be controlled and fertilized in time.

I. watering methods of newly transplanted orchids

Many people don't know how to water the newly transplanted orchids. In fact, they just need to pay attention to them. If you give it a relatively dry and breathable and well-drained substrate, it should be watered immediately after transplanting, that is, until the bottom of the basin flows out of water, which is commonly known as root water.

The material is not dry and breathable in general, and can not be watered immediately, but should be watered thoroughly every other day, which is mainly to ensure that its roots adapt to the soil in advance. Otherwise, immediately watering, the roots can not be absorbed, will lead to stagnant water rotten roots, adverse to its growth after transplanting, but also affect the subsequent flowering.

II. Maintenance after transplanting

1. Lighting

Orchids like semi-shade and cannot be exposed to strong light. Just transplanting is when it is weak, then it should be placed in a cool and ventilated place to adapt to the new environment, after about half a month, its growth is stable, and then moved to scattered light for maintenance, so as to avoid burns, wilting and other problems.

2. Temperature

It is very important to control the temperature after transplanting. Orchids generally grow better between 15 ℃ and 25 ℃, so it is necessary to control this temperature as far as possible to safely survive the slow seedling stage. If it is higher than 28 ℃ in summer, it is necessary to spray water on the leaves to lower the temperature.

3. Fertilization

Just transplanting it is best not to rush fertilization, when the root system of the plant is relatively weak, and there is no good stability in the soil, immediate fertilization will bring harm, which is disadvantageous to its growth. To wait for it to fully adapt and grow in good condition before topdressing, to follow the principle of a small number of times, so as not to cause fertilizer damage.
