The tufted plants are separated into new plants that grow separately, which is called ramet propagation. This hair is easy to operate and can maintain the excellent characters of the mother plant, and because of its well-developed root system, it is easy to survive and grow fast, so it is one of the propagation methods often used in family flower cultivation, and it is most suitable for the reproduction of shrubs and perennial herbaceous flowers.

Ramet: dig the mother plant out of the basin or underground, remove part of the persistent soil, expose the root system, see the split part of the flowers that are easy to sprout, and directly break the branches of the ramet together with the root system with a knife, so as not to damage the mother plant and keep the ramet root intact. You can plant the ramet separately. For clustered flowers, divide them into 2-3 clumps by hand or knife, as long as you ensure that each clump has a complete root system and plant it separately. The flowers suitable for breeding in this method are ornamental pineapple, gentleman orchid, orchid, white crane taro, taro, white net grass, fire crane flower, aloe, fern and so on.

Bulbs: the underground parts of most bulbous flowers have strong regeneration function, and some new bulbs can grow around the mother plant every year. It is not only simple to reproduce with these bulbs, but also blooms earlier than sowing and breeding. The time of dividing balls can vary according to different kinds of flowers, usually in the dormant period of plants in spring and autumn. For example, new bulbs (daffodils, lilies, etc.), tubers (calla lilies, taros, etc.), corms (freesia, etc.), roots (canna, iris, Hosta, etc.), tubers (dahlias, etc.) will grow into independent plants after separation.
