The plant material of orchid is usually divided into hard plant material and soft plant material. These materials are usually composed of particles with sizes ranging from 0.3 to 1.5cm.

When planting orchids, does the plant material of orchids need to be pressed? During the pot operation, this problem is mainly determined according to the proportion and particle size of plant materials. In general, among the plant materials used, the ratio of soft plant material is relatively large, and the hard plant material is only a small part of it. When this kind of situation is planted on the pot, in addition to shaking the flowerpot, you can also gently compact it. But when compacting, you must not exert too much force to avoid plant material squeezing the root system. Because when there is a lot of soft plant material, even if you shake the flowerpot, the plant material is often very soft and breathable, which will increase the workload in the later watering management. Therefore, the plant can be properly compacted when it is put on the pot, so that the plant material is in close contact with the root system, and the density of the plant material is appropriately increased, which is conducive to the normal growth of Langen.

When matching plant materials, if the proportion of soft plant material is small, hard plant material accounts for the majority. When this kind of collocation proportion is on the basin, the plant material can shake gently and evenly, and there is no need to compaction. Therefore, when the orchid is planted in the pot, whether the plant material needs to be compacted or not mainly depends on the proportion of soft plant material and hard plant material. You can press it gently when it needs to be compacted, but it doesn't need to be compacted. Just shake the spoon gently and shake it a few times.

In addition, a decision should be made according to the particle size of the plant. Plants with large particles are usually slightly compacted, while plants with small particles can be shaken a few times.
