Leek is a yellowed leek which is softened by soil cultivation, shading and other measures in the dark environment. It not only tastes better than chives, but also costs several times as much as chives. So how to grow leek? Let's take a look at the planting management technology of leek with the editor.

1. Variety selection

There are many varieties of leek, which can be divided into early-maturing varieties, middle-maturing varieties and late-maturing varieties according to the time of maturity, so before choosing leek to plant, it is necessary to understand its variety yield, growth rate and disease resistance, and then according to the local situation and their own management ability, choose the varieties suitable for their own planting.

2. deep ploughing and soil preparation

First of all, it is necessary to dig deep into the soil, leek can be harvested for many years in a year, so it is necessary to dig deep into the soil before planting, so that the root system of leek can be planted in the process of growth, laying a solid foundation for future harvest. The second is to choose sandy soil, leek yellow has higher requirements for cultivated soil, it is cultivated in soft sandy soil, which is conducive to irrigation spraying and loose ventilation, and is of great help to the growth and development of leek yellow. Third, it is necessary to open trenches to make beds, which is for the convenience of drainage and irrigation, while in high-lying plots, drainage ditches can be opened in the center, which is conducive to drainage.

3. Sowing seeds

Leek can not only be direct seeded, but also can be raised and transplanted, and it is the planting time from March to April or September to October every year. During direct seeding, first sprinkle a layer of fine sand on the leveled land, sow the seeds evenly in the ditch, generally use 2 kilograms per mu, the distance between rows and ditches is about 30 centimeters, and then spread a layer of fine sand after sowing. After that, mature farm manure can be used to fertilize, and if organic fertilizer or farm manure is insufficient, compound fertilizer can be used instead. The second kind is transplanting, the ditch distance is also 30 cm, the prepared seedlings will be planted directly, and the soil and fertilizer will be mixed into the ditch to cultivate the seedlings.

4. Build a greenhouse

In the leek cultivation needs shading, if not shaded, then it will become leek, so if you choose to grow in the greenhouse, you can directly shade the outside of the greenhouse. If it is open-air cultivation, you can use bamboo poles and opaque plastic to build a sunshade greenhouse, and then control the temperature and humidity in the greenhouse. It is best to control the temperature in the shed at 25 degrees. If the conditions are relatively simple, it is also feasible to keep it at 15-25 degrees.

5. Fertilizer and water management

The growth of leek has relatively high requirements for fertilizer and water, and if the fertilizer and water is not managed properly, it will directly affect the income in the later stage. The management of fertilizer and water of leek should remember the principle of "water demand, no water storage, more fertilizer, not too much". This means that leek should be irrigated in time during its growth, but it must not cause waterlogging damage, and a large amount of nitrogen fertilizer is needed in the process of leek growth, and calcium fertilizer also needs to be properly maintained. When fertilizing, it is necessary to choose a small number of fertilization methods.
