As a very popular fruit in China, kiwifruit has a large planting area. When planting kiwifruit, we need to pay attention to all the basic work. Especially in the harvest of kiwifruit, if harvested improperly, then in the harvest, kiwifruit is very prone to the phenomenon of falling leaves. So how to prevent the trees from falling leaves during the kiwifruit harvest? Let's take a look at it with the editor.

1. Pest control

Diseases and insect pests are one of the main factors causing the defoliation of kiwifruit during the harvest period. Therefore, if you want to prevent the occurrence of fallen leaves during the harvest period, then pest control is essential. Among them, the common disease in kiwifruit harvest period is deciduous disease, which is mainly caused by brown spot, black spot and other diseases. Therefore, after we harvest the fruit, we should spray and disinfect in time, and we can use Sukeling, mancozeb and other agents for prevention and control. However, scale insects are common pests, so scale shells should be removed manually in time, and then scale chemicals should be sprayed to control them.

2. Foliar fertilizer spraying

When kiwifruit is harvested, if the fallen leaves are serious, it will have a great impact on the growth of kiwifruit. Because leaves are the key substances for kiwifruit trees to produce nutrients, leaves will also directly affect the accumulation of nutrients in kiwifruit trees. It will have a great impact on the quality of kiwifruit in that year and the yield of the following year. Therefore, after we harvest the fruit, we should combine the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests and spray foliar fertilizer in time to do a good job of leaf protection. Foliar fertilizer can be used with appropriate amount of urea or potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution and other substances.

3. Apply base fertilizer

In order to improve the nutrition of kiwifruit trees, we have to apply sufficient base fertilizer after fruit picking. First of all, the work of deep turning and hole expansion was carried out within about a month after fruit harvest, and then the application rate of organic fertilizer was increased. Usually, the harvest time of the fruit is usually in October of each year, and the amount of base fertilizer should be kept at about 55% of the total fertilizer for the whole year. It is necessary to ensure adequate base fertilizer to promote kiwifruit trees to survive the winter safely and improve the yield and quality of fruits in the second year. In general, about 60-70kg of farm manure should be applied to each plant, or the amount of farm manure should be reduced and appropriate amount of cake fertilizer and phosphate fertilizer should be added.

4. Water management

When harvesting the fruit, because most of the nutrients of the fruit tree leave the fruit tree with the fruit. Therefore, the fruit tree is in a state of nutrient deficiency and weakness, if the accumulation of water in the soil affects the absorption of nutrient water at the root of the tree. Then it will lead to serious defoliation of kiwifruit trees. Therefore, we should appropriately expand and repair the drainage ditch, expand the chamber ditch, and improve the drainage of the garden. Ensure that the stagnant water can be discharged in time after the rain, and the depth and width of the grooves are usually kept at about 80*50cm. Each box trench should be connected and laid with the right amount of straw.

The above is a brief introduction to how to prevent fallen leaves during kiwifruit harvest. That's all for today's introduction. This article is for reference only. Thank you for your reading and support.
