In the experimental forest of National Taiwan University, located in Nantou County, the management office spans Xinyi Township, Shuili Township, Lugu Township and other areas. A lot of land in the territory is reserved for aborigines, which sometimes conflicts with neighboring communities. In recent years, the "Community Co-Prosperity Program" has been launched to appropriately open the land use rights, provide woodworking skills teaching resources, set up joint woodworking workshops, assist local crops to develop and process products, and allow community residents to assist in mountain tours and ecological tours. Jointly protect the local ecological environment.

In the past, when it came to the NTU experimental forest, the neighboring communities generally had a poor impression, especially the aboriginal community thought, "the NTU experimental forest occupies the land of our ancestors." For the sake of land issues, neighboring communities clashed from time to time, and it was not until the Republic of China in 1997 that they began to have the opportunity to change.

Tsai Ming-che, the current director of the Experimental Forest Management Office, said that Wang Yanan, the former director, began to show goodwill by inviting the community to protect the ecological environment through community forestry programs. After Cai Mingzhe took office five years ago, hoping to further take care of the economy on the basis of maintaining the environment, he began to visit the community and understand the needs.

"after visiting, I found that everyone was looking at the performance of the experimental forest." Cai Mingzhe said that the community generally hopes that the experimental forest will release the land. under the current laws and regulations, the experimental forest belongs to state-owned land, and the management office has no right to return it, but it can appropriately open up the land use rights and share the resources owned by the experimental forest with the community. As a result, the Co-Prosperity Plan was born.

Cai Mingzhe said that the "Co-Prosperity Project" is based on the conservation of ecological resources, sharing the resources of the experimental forest with neighboring communities to help them develop industries and preserve traditional culture and customs. Tsai Ming-Tseh says that the experimental forest represents Taiwan University locally, and the university has its social responsibility to assist in local development.

Liu Xingwang, deputy director of the Experimental Forest Management Office of National Taiwan University, said that the greatest resource of the experimental forest is forestry, and the nearby communities are mostly engaged in agriculture. Therefore, on the basis of past forestry plans, the experimental forest combines the strengths of the experimental forest to produce carpentry. At the same time, enhance the value of local agricultural products.

The professional carpentry course in the experimental forest has been conducted since 103, with the master of the wood use factory as the course teacher, with the participation of the neighboring community. In the past two years, 15 people participated in the course, and finally 14 obtained Class C furniture carpentry license. The course uses wood and bamboo to make small furniture and handicrafts, combined with indigenous elements, such as wooden stools with totems and bamboo depositors with eight sound images.
