Cutting technique of Euonymus officinalis
Wei spear is a common greening plant in our daily life, and its winged branches are a kind of traditional Chinese medicine called Ghost Arrow Yu. When planting the spear, the reproduction of the spear is very important. Because the period of sowing and reproduction of Euonymus is too long, it is mainly cuttage propagation now. So how to cut the spear? The following editor brings you the cutting technology of Wei spear, let's have a look!
1. Cutting seedbed
When cutting Wei spear, we should first deal with the cutting bed. The width of the cutting bed is kept at about one meter and the length is controlled at about 8 meters. The seedbed should have normal drainage and irrigation, soft soil, and then crush the soil to make the back of the bed and grooves. In order to ensure the normal growth of cutting seedlings, we also need to carry out a comprehensive and thorough disinfection of the seedling bed. The disinfectant can be sprayed on the bed with solutions such as phoxim or potassium permanganate. Then seal the bed for about 4 days, and then spray it with clean water.
2. Substrate cuttings
The root of the spear is relatively fine, so the cutting substrate should have good permeability, normal drainage and irrigation, and of course it should be rich in organic matter. The substrate can be prepared with pastoral soil, pine needles and organic fertilizer, which can effectively improve the survival rate of Euonymus cutting. After the substrate has been prepared, the cuttings will be selected. Cuttings should be dominated by annual Lignification branches with strong mother branches and strong growth ability. We must pay attention to the quality of cuttings, the quality of cuttings will directly affect the yield and quality of seedlings, and planting benefits are also closely related.
3. Cutting method
The cutting of Euonymus should be carried out in the middle of September every year. However, attention should be paid no later than November at the latest, otherwise the survival rate of cuttings will be reduced. Keep the length of the cuttings at about 10-18 cm. Remove the lower leaves and keep the lower leaves. If the leaf area is large, then it is necessary to lose half of the leaves and leave buds appropriately according to the actual situation of the cuttings. If you leave 5 buds, then the bottom of the cuttings should be horseshoe-shaped, the top should be flat, without tearing, and maintain a flat stubble.
Then the lower incision should pay attention to ensure neatness, according to the principle of insertion as soon as you pick, the best storage time is not overnight. In order to avoid the seedlings being skinned during cutting, it is necessary to cut a small hole with a stick before cutting. The distance between plants and rows is controlled at about 1*4cm. After cutting, it should be watered in time, make a good arch shed, and seal it with thin film. It can effectively improve the ground temperature and humidity. Then, with the passage of time, ventilation should be about 20 minutes every four days or so, preferably at 2-3 p.m.
The above is a brief introduction to the cutting technology of Wei spear. That's all for today's introduction. This article is for reference only. I hope it can help you all.
