Seed treatment is the basic requirement in orchid, as orchid seeds are relatively fine, it is best to select mature seeds that have not yet cracked, disinfect the seeds in alcohol solution once, soak them in 10% sodium chlorate for 5 minutes, wash them several times and put them on the culture medium, keep the temperature at about 25 ℃ and germinate quickly.
2. Matrix preparation
The flowerpots selected are mainly mud pots. After adding appropriate amount of cinder, coarse sand and charcoal, the mixed soil of peat soil and sandy loam is added, and the soil is ploughed once. After pouring water, spray an appropriate amount of potassium permanganate solution for thorough disinfection, in order to kill the bacteria inside.
3. Planting management
The germinated seedlings are buried in the soil, covered with a layer of about 3 cm fine soil, poured into a fixed root water, keep the soil moist, transplant when 4-5 true leaves grow, move indoors during the plum rain season, or build a shed to cover the rain, and spray moisturizing to the leaves every night in the dry season.
4. Post-planting management
It is best to carry out shading treatment in spring and summer, generally placed in the south-facing ventilation window, and often turn the flowerpot every day to make the orchid receive light on all sides, give half a day of light in autumn, and move into the room when the temperature drops gradually. it can also be covered with a layer of hay to keep warm and moisturizing.
