In May, due to reasons on the construction site, I had no time to take care of the flowers and plants, coupled with the fact that Rain Water was so rich in southern Fujian these days, one of the orchids had rotten roots. Although this season is not suitable for orchids to change pots and soil, I think if you don't save orchids, you must die, so you might as well be more careful to change orchids.

I was afraid that the root system of the orchid would be hurt, so I directly put down the flowerpot and flushed out all the flower soil with tap water. The roots of the orchid were all exposed, and the orchids were rotten. The tips of my orchids are dry and the veins are leafy and yellow. So I judged that the root system of the orchid rotted. Using sharp scissors in time, the rotten roots of orchids are trimmed off, and the excessively long roots are trimmed short to create root cross-sectional wounds in order to produce more roots in the later stage.

For saving orchids, I directly use rotten pine bark and granular volcanic rock to mix them in half. In my experience of growing orchids, the soil must not be delicate and the nutrients should not be too high for emergency planting of orchids. And the use of pine bark plus volcanic rock, superposition is not strong, easy to produce voids, conducive to air convection, orchid root breathing will be more smooth. It is beneficial to the rapid recovery of growth.

If you plant a good orchid, you can wet the leaves first and water them thoroughly the next day. For the time being, I kept the orchid in the shade and placed several shallow pots next to it to add humidity to the surrounding air. My orchid had a problem in early May, and now it has been rescued and gave birth to the first one, but it is a bit futile.
