Spinach as a simple vegetable, many people will choose to grow, and even can plant their own pot as a spare every day. But spinach seed germination has always been a difficult problem, many people will find their own spinach seed germination rate is very low, here to see what will make spinach easier to germinate.

1. Seed treatment

Seeds need to be selected first, the newly collected seeds will have a period of dormancy, when the germination rate is low, you can use the previous seeds. For some blackened, damaged, flat bad seeds had better be cleaned up in time, these are basically unqualified. Then knead the seeds properly for a period of time, repeat them a few times gently, then place them in the sun for a period of time, sterilize them with sunlight, and then prepare to wake up.

2. Wake up the seed

When the previous seeds are dealt with, they should begin to wake up, which determines the subsequent budding rate, so you need to be cautious. First soak the seeds in water for about 10-12 hours, then place them in a cool place to observe the broken shell of the seeds, which takes about 3-7 days. During this period, you need to keep the seed moist, so you need to sprinkle water regularly. if the water evaporates too quickly, it is best to add some mulch to keep the seed moist.

3. Temperature control

When the seed shows signs of breaking its shell, put it into the soil and let it take root and sprout. At this time, the most important thing is to control the temperature. If spinach is easy to sprout, keep the temperature within the range suitable for spinach growth. The most suitable temperature for spinach seeds just put into the soil is about 20-22 ℃, the highest is not more than 25 ℃, and the lowest is not more than 15 ℃. If it is summer, choose a cool place to raise seedlings, and choose a place where the temperature is high and there is no wind in winter.

4. Water control

Temperature affects the speed of germination, while moisture directly affects whether spinach sprouts or not. Spinach needs more watering during the seedling period. Watering at this time needs to pay attention to control the amount, because the spinach seed has just germinated, the root system is underdeveloped, too much water can easily lead to its dead seedlings. Watering as long as the surface layer of about 2-3 cm can, there can be no accumulation of water at the bottom, the whole soil feels with a certain sense of moisture, this degree of moisture is the most likely to lead to spinach sprouting.

These are the ways to make spinach germinate more easily when planting. Many people ignore these factors, or don't pay much attention to these factors, resulting in a low germination rate of their own spinach.
