Gentleman orchid, its root is the kind of white and thick white root, it must be planted with loose and breathable soil, otherwise, the soil silting up, it is easy to cause rotten roots. General planting, will use peat soil particles, ceramsite and so on, to configure a nutritious, permeable and very good soil, so it is very good to plant.

Of course, if you have bark on hand, willow bark, pine bark, including the bark of other trees, can be used. But these bark must be thoroughly fermented before use, do not use unfermented fresh bark. After watering in this way, the bark will ferment in the basin soil, and the fermentation will heat up, causing the root system to burn. It is not recommended that you plant it directly with pure bark. When using bark, you can add a little ceramsite, some peat soil particles, coconut bran and so on. In this way, it is not only loose and permeable, but also has a certain degree of water absorption, which will not cause the water to flow down directly after watering, and there is no water in the basin soil.

In fact, the cultivation of orchid is very random, and the bark is a very good medium. It is very good to plant orchids and fleshy roots, but it must be fermented and reused.

Of course, we have seen on many platforms, including videos, that many greenhouses for planting magnolia are planted with rotten leaf soil, which is breathable and permeable to a certain extent, but its water absorption and water retention is also very good. In the family, if you use pure rotten leaf soil to plant, the ventilation effect is poor, you do not dry for a long time after watering, it is easy to cause rotten roots. Therefore, it is not recommended to plant with rotten leaf soil indoors, if your ventilation effect is good, you can use rotten leaf soil. If your ventilation effect is not good, you can directly use bark, ceramsite, and peat soil particles at 1:1 to make sure that the root system of Cymbidium grows full of pots, white and strong.

The roots grow well, the leaves grow big and thick, as long as you regularly watering, regular fertilization, gentleman orchid will not appear rotten roots, will only grow very fast.
