Jianzi cattle is a breed of cattle, which is mainly crossbred with Chinese native cattle through foreign introduced breeds such as Limuzan and Charolais. The meat quality of shelf cattle is very good, the growth rate is relatively fast, and has a higher feed reward. Now it is a breed that many people prefer to breed. So how to fatten up when raising shelf cattle? The following editor brings you the fattening technology of shelf cattle, let's have a look!

1. Fattening mode

The fattening methods of shelf cattle are generally divided into three types: the transition period of 10-15 days, the early fattening period of 15-65 days and the fattening later stage of 65-120 days. During the transition period, it is necessary to let the shelf cattle have about half a month to adapt to the feeding environment and feed. Among them, the diet should be mainly coarse feeding, first feeding some rice straw, wheat straw and other grain straw, and then increase the appropriate amount of green feeding. Control the addition of fine feeding, not too much, each head can be fed about 0.5kg every day. When feeding, it can be mixed with rough feeding, and then the feeding amount can be gradually increased to about 1% of the body weight, promoting the transition period as soon as possible.

Then in the early fattening period after the meeting, the dry matter intake of shelf cattle will gradually reach about 8kg. Among them, the proportion of concentrate feeding and rough feeding is about 55:45, under normal circumstances, you can gain weight 13kg every day. In the later stage of fattening, dry matter intake should be increased by 2kg. The proportion of concentrate feeding should be increased again. When feeding the feed, it should be based on the principle of refining first and then roughing. First, the silage is added to the trough to allow the shelf cattle to be harvested freely, and then concentrate feeding is added after half an hour or so, and it is fully mixed with the silage to ensure that every cow can be full.

2. Feeding mode

The feeding mode of shelf cattle during fattening is mainly divided into loose fence feeding and tethered feeding. When raising in separate pens, similar fattening cattle should be raised together according to their body weight, breed and age. It can not only effectively adjust the feed, but also control the food intake of beef cattle to achieve the goal of all in and all out. In tethered breeding, it is also necessary to determine the trough for tethered breeding according to the body type and strength of beef cattle. It can make each cow feed evenly, reduce the fighting and climbing between beef cattle, and promote weight gain, but the manpower input is larger and the utilization rate of the barn is relatively low.

3. Fattening period management

During the fattening period, shelf cattle are fed about twice a day, in the morning and evening. Fine feeding should be controlled according to the requirements, and rough feeding can allow beef cattle to eat freely. Let them drink water after about 30 minutes of feeding to avoid excessive exercise. Then in the period of high temperature, it is not allowed to feed during the period of high temperature at noon to control environmental hygiene and prevent beef cattle from being bitten by mosquitoes and flies and causing infectious diseases. The growth of cattle should be observed frequently every day, and should be dealt with in time when abnormalities are found. Then the diet should be adjusted according to the growth and feeding conditions of the cattle, and the cattle with slow weight gain should be eliminated in time.

The above is a brief introduction to the fattening technology of shelf cattle. That's all for today's introduction. This article is for reference only. I hope it can help you all.
