What kind of medium is suitable for soilless cultivation of Magnolia?
The media used for soilless cultivation of Cymbidium should meet the following conditions:
① particles are small. Because the root system of Cymbidium is fleshy, thick and dense, in order to facilitate the close connection between the medium and its root system, the smaller particles should be selected to facilitate the absorption of nutrients and improve the rapid growth and development of the plant.
② has strong ability of absorbing water and keeping fat. The medium of soilless cultivation is non-nutritious, so the nutrients needed for the growth of Magnolia mainly depend on watering nutrient solution, so the medium is required to have water absorption and fertilizer preservation.
③ is sanitary and clean. The medium of soilless culture does not have the same ecological balance system of microorganisms as in the soil, so it is required to be hygienic and clean in use to prevent plants from being infected with diseases.
