Speaking of leeches, many people may have shadows, but leeches are now high-quality breeding projects and are the first choice of many people. However, breeding leeches is not simple to succeed. With the improvement of breeding technology, some breeding points are slowly summarized and known. Here are the key points of leech breeding.

1. Water quality management

Water is one of the most important factors for leeches, and there is less and less water in the wild now because many of them cannot survive because of the deterioration of water quality. The water for raising leeches should be natural and pollution-free. Some fertile water or water with high pesticide content will have a serious impact on leeches, so farmers should be cautious when choosing water sources. Secondly, in order to ensure the water quality of the culture pond, it is best to maintain the circulation of fresh water for a long time.

2. Cultivation density

Do not think that leeches are relatively small and think that leeches can be raised a lot per mu. Generally speaking, the number of leeches per mu is basically about 2200-2500, and the seedlings are generally about 40-50 jin. Because there is no guarantee that leeches can be evenly distributed throughout the breeding site, a small amount can maintain the growth rate and quality of leeches. Therefore, it is best to divide the breeding site to maintain the uniform distribution of leeches to the greatest extent.

3. Feeding

The common food of leeches was snails, mussels, and some animal clots. In the early stage, a certain number of snails and mussels were evenly placed in the breeding ground, and then some clots were fed to speed up their growth. Generally, it can be fed once in the morning and evening, and the feeding is often controlled at about 1-2 hours. Each time, a small amount is fed, so that leeches can eat to the greatest extent and reduce the loss of feed.

4. Temperature control

Leeches are very afraid of high temperatures, so breeding sites must have means of temperature control, especially in summer. In summer, it is best to set up some shading nets, or put some floating aquatic plants in the water to reduce the chance of direct sunlight contact with leeches. If the temperature is too high, it is best to increase the depth of the pool appropriately to keep the bottom temperature more suitable for growth.

These are some of the main points of leech farming, these are the current experience summed up, I believe that everyone will have a good help. If you want to raise leeches, you must pay attention to these details, and at the same time improve your own breeding technology.
