What are the conditions for the flowering of Magnolia?
Cymbidium is a common herbaceous flowering plant in the subtropics. It is suitable for cultivation in greenhouse. It can blossom year-round and live for several decades or more. Because its growth habits are different from those of other flowers and plants, it takes patience to cultivate it. It usually takes three or four years to blossom. Of course, improper cultivation will not blossom.
First, there are many and strong leaves
When the orchid reaches the flowering stage, but the lack of leaves will also affect the normal flowering, because the orchid flowering needs to accumulate enough nutrition through photosynthesis to have the flowering conditions, so the leaves of the orchid are insufficient, and the nutrition accumulated by photosynthesis must not be enough. then the final result is that Cymbidium can not blossom normally, at the same time, the flowering leaves of Cymbidium should reach more than 16.
Second, the root system is many and strong
From the experience of cultivating Magnolia for many years, only the more roots, the stronger the plant can absorb more nutrients, and the plant can bud into flowers with sufficient nutrition. If the orchid has rotten roots, malnutrition and other problems, then it will inevitably affect the normal flowering.
Third, the false bulb is thick.
The so-called false bulb is actually the joint of two leaves, which is not only an organ for storing water and nutrients, but also an organ exclusive to orchid plants. Therefore, as long as the pseudo-bulb of Cymbidium is thick, it must blossom. On the contrary, if the pseudo-bulb of Cymbidium is not thick enough, it can show that Cymbidium has not yet become a flower.
Fourth, the emergence of "big leaves"
The reason why the orchid can blossom is that once the orchid blossoms, the nutritional center of its plant will be transferred to the bud, but the leaves near the bud will also benefit, thus showing a "big leaf" which is different from other leaves, so as long as there are big leaves, the flowering of the orchid will not be a problem.
Under normal circumstances, Magnolia can blossom 1-3 times a year, mostly around the Spring Festival, the flowering period is also longer, if you want to prolong the flowering period, you can put it in a greenhouse with less light.
