It is possible to plant orchids a little deep when planting orchids, and then remove some of the plant material from the upper layer of the pot to expose the Reed head of the orchids. But the time of removing plant material is exquisite.

It can be before sprouting, or after the germinated lateral buds grow to 5-6cm, and then slowly remove some of them. It is best not to remove part of the plant material and expose the small bud seedlings during the sprouting period, not only because of improper operation, but also because the environment around the small bud seedlings suddenly changes. in the case of insufficient environmental humidity, it is likely to cause the growth stagnation of small buds and the phenomenon of rigid buds. It's what people say is flashing. Because, the artificial buds and orchid plants grow their own buds, their adaptability to the environment is very different.

In the national orchid. No matter which strain of orchid is planted in the pot, its false bulb (Reed head) should show about half of it, which can be a little more than half or less. As long as not all the false bulbs are buried in the soil, or reveal the part of the root system, there is no too strict requirement. In addition, planting orchids should also understand the advantages and disadvantages of deep planting and shallow planting. In general, in the same culture materials, the same orchid varieties, the same management methods and culture environment, the relatively shallow orchid plants usually have more budding rate, which is due to the good air permeability and illuminance. The sprouting rate of the deeper orchid plants planted is relatively less, but the budding seedlings are usually much stronger than the shallow plants, which is more suitable for the new orchid varieties.

Of course, some new orchid friends may not have found this problem, but this is indeed a phenomenon that many orchid friends have detected and encountered in the process of breeding. In addition, when planting orchids, the height of the false bulbs had better be level with the pot surface of the flowerpots. After putting the orchid seedlings on the pot, the plants are finally covered (buried) to half of the false bulbs. In this way, if the orchid seedlings are planted a little higher, the ventilation and permeability of its false bulbs and roots will be much better, which is very beneficial to the new bud germination and normal growth of orchid seedlings. If your orchid plant is sprouting, it is recommended that you bury the original plant material (moist) back to the plant's false bulb and gently cover the budding seedlings. After the small sprouts grow to a certain height and make sure it is safe, it is not too late to slowly remove the planting material on the surface.
