What if the white orchid has yellow leaves?
① chlorosis. It is mainly caused by alkali in basin soil. The reason why the basin soil is alkaline:
1. The basin soil itself is alkaline.
2. Apply more alkaline inorganic fertilizer or water. Symptoms: the leaves gradually changed from green to yellowish white, and in severe cases, the leaves were brown, forming local necrosis. When the leaves began to turn yellow, they were sprayed with 0.2 {bf} ferrous sulfate on the leaf surface in time, once a week for 3 times, or with alum fertilizer and water once a week for 3 times, the disease could be controlled.
② root rot. The root rot is caused by excessive watering and failure to drain the stagnant water in the basin in time on continuous rainy days. Symptoms: the root system is black and rotten, and the leaves are yellowing and falling off, resulting in the death of the whole plant. Therefore, usually have to wait until the basin soil surface whitening before watering, and often loosen the soil. On a rainy day or when there are too many Rain Water, it is appropriate to move under the eaves or indoors to take shelter from the rain; when putting on the basin, more broken tiles should be added to the bottom of the basin to make the drainage smooth, and put up the basin bricks to speed up the flow of water.
