Dual sow breeding technology
There are many pig breeds on the market now, and the more common one is binary sow. Binary sow is the first generation cross breed produced by Landrace and Large White. Binary sows have many breeding advantages, such as high litter rate, less dystocia and tolerance to coarse feeding. So how should binary sows be raised? The following small series will briefly introduce the breeding technical points of binary sow for everyone. Let's have a look together!
1. Feeding management
When drinking water for binary sows, pay attention to whether the drinking water is clean, do not drink sewage, contaminated drinking water, to avoid binary sows appear diarrhea bad phenomenon. Then, as with traditional pig farming, it is necessary to do a good job of grouping according to gender, size and eating speed. Weaned piglets should be given sufficient space and time to exercise. Keep a dry and clean environment in the pigsty, and do a good job in the training of binary sow fixed-point excretion. After renting, the feed can be mainly coarse feed, mainly coarse feed such as corn, wheat bran, soybean meal and fine rice bran, and then matched with appropriate amount of high-quality fish meal, stone powder and calcium hydrogen phosphate.
2. Daily management
When raising weaned piglets of binary sows, attention should be paid to maintaining sufficient sunlight, controlling temperature and maintaining a clean and dry environment. Before entering the pen, the pigsty should be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Then spread clean bedding to ensure normal growth of piglets. Then pay attention to control the breeding density, if the population is large or each pig covers a small area and the number of feeding troughs is too small, it is easy to cause fighting between piglets. This results in insufficient rest time for pigs, affecting eating and causing development to be hindered. Therefore, it should be noted that each pig should have at least 0.5 square meters of floor space.
After entering winter, especially in winter and early spring in the north, the temperature is very low. However, the cold resistance of binary sows is very poor, so they often sleep together. In this way, piglets will squeeze each other, which is easy to cause the piglets to be crushed to death and easily cause diseases. It is very unfavorable to the growth and development of binary piglets. Therefore, we must pay attention to the cold-proof and warm-keeping work of pigsty, and if conditions permit, we can set up a greenhouse for breeding. Then, when the binary piglets grow to two months or about 100 days, do a good job of subcutaneous injection of deworming.
3. Feeding management
During the prophase of breeding binary sows, binary sows can be fed ad libitum, and then when they grow to about 160 jin, they can start using gilt feed until they are in estrus. In the first oestrus period of binary sow, if the age weight is appropriate, then it can be let to breed work, if possible, artificial insemination is best. After breeding, change the feed, the daily feeding amount should not exceed 4 jin, and add green feed appropriately. After three months, the sows are fed with lactation feed, and finally after farrowing, the sows are fed according to their actual conditions.
The above is a brief introduction to the technical points of binary sow breeding. Today's introduction is here, this article is for reference only, I hope to help everyone oh!
