Orchids and other flowers are somewhat different, leaves toughness is good, after planting it is difficult to judge whether it has served the pot or not. Because even if you don't take the pot for a short time, the leaves are still green, unlike other flowers, the leaves wither and lose color. Orchids can be potted for a long time or a short time, for example, if you buy them in the local market and plant them in the original soil, it may take several months to take them in the pot, for example, if you buy them online from a distant place. To judge whether orchids are served or not, we mainly look at the following three points.

1. Look at the luster of the leaves

To judge whether orchids have served pots, the first thing is to look at the luster of the leaves. If orchids are not potted, their roots do not draw water and nutrients from the soil properly, and their leaves lose their luster, although they do not immediately wither like other plants. If the orchids are potted, the roots are functioning properly, nutrients and water are delivered to the leaves in time, and the leaves gradually become shiny and look vibrant. In addition, the orchid clothes do not take the pot leaves feel different, do not take the pot when the feel a little soft, poor texture. After taking the basin, it feels firm and has strong texture.

2. Look at the new leaf slightly

To judge whether orchids have served pots, the second is to look at the tip of the new leaves. If the orchid does not take the pot, the new leaves are slowly drawn, or stagnate, and do not grow much in a few days. If orchids have been served basin, the new leaves will be a little pumping very quickly, a few days to feel out of a section. If the naked eye is not good to judge whether the new leaves of orchids are slightly longer, you can measure them, or make a mark, measure them once a week, and the obvious growth is to take the pot, gradually enter normal maintenance, properly bask in the sun, and apply some fertilizer thinly.

3. See if there are new buds growing

The ultimate indicator of whether orchids have served pots is whether new buds grow, whether flower buds or leaf buds, as long as new buds grow, indicating that they have fully adapted to the home environment and are thriving. However, it often takes several months for newly purchased orchids to grow new buds. Some even don't grow new buds in the first year and start to grow in the second year, so patience is needed. The leaf color is normal and the new leaves are growing. Don't dig up new shoots and plant them again. Every time you plant them, you hurt your muscles and bones.

The above three points are from whether orchids have grown to judge whether to take the pot, in fact, can also be judged from some other symptoms of orchids, such as peripheral leaves gradually yellowing, leaf tips gradually dry, reed head gradually withered, etc., all indicate that orchids do not take the pot, and are developing in a bad direction, need to take further measures to save. For experienced flower friends, the feeling of orchids serving pots and not serving pots is completely different, and it is better to judge. For inexperienced flower friends, judgment is a bit difficult and requires more research.
