In order to showcase the rich cultural grace of the three lines of Romance Terrace, the Hakka Committee invited 22 famous photographers from home and abroad to follow the three lines of Romance Terrace into Hakka Township to collect rich Hakka cultural images from the historical traces of Hakka pioneers, farming wisdom, intangible cultural assets, performing arts and skills, to the daily life of modern Hakka Township.
The curator Quanhua said that the Mesozoic photographers invited this time, Jiang Sixian, He Jingtai, Lin Guozhang, Ke Xiaodong, Yang Yongzhi, Huang Wenyong, Huang Ziming, Ye Taoxuan, Gao Zhengquan, Zhang Zhongliang, as well as Hakka heavyweight Ye Cai and Liang Guolong, have made the latest interpretation of Hakka humanities from a delicate perspective in 28 villages and towns in Taozhu Miao.
International photographers from six countries and two special administrative regions participated in this project, including Hervé Bernard(France), Martial Verdier(Marshall Verdier), Wu Jaihe (Korea), Kumagaya Junzhi (Japan), Zhang Rongqin and Hu Hangsheng (Malaysia), Agatha Bunanta (Indonesia), Wei Fu (Thailand), Zeng Jiale (Hong Kong) and Guo Xiangxin (Macao). International photographers went deep into the guest village with international vision and recorded the true feelings with images.
The photographers explored Hakka settlements many times, focusing on Hakka stories at the foot of Huoyan Mountain, the century-old pond in Chiaopuli, Miaoli Yuanli Township, and the century-old legend of the Chiao An Hakka family in Shikang. Hervé Bernard is a famous photographer and director of Cannes short films, and Martial Verdier is famous for his classic photography techniques. These wonderful works will be presented in Taipei and Hsinchu at the end of December. Please wait and see.
