Camellia, as one of the top ten famous flowers, is the first choice for many people to cultivate indoors, but a pot is often too monotonous, so many people will raise a few more pots, and if they don't want to buy it, they can breed it themselves. So what are the propagation methods of camellias? Come and have a look with the editor.

1. Sowing and reproduction

It is made by mobile phone in autumn, put it in a ventilated place to dry, wait for the fruit to crack naturally, and then take out the seeds. At this time, the seed epidermis is very hard and needs to be treated before it can germinate faster. The seed coat can be cut open with a knife or soaked in water. After seed dressing, cover the pig with plastic film to avoid water dissipation, keep the temperature between 18 and 25 degrees, ensure sufficient light, avoid direct sunlight, ventilate every day, and the seeds can germinate after one month. When the seedlings grow out of 3-4 leaves, you can transplant one plant in a flowerpot, put the flowerpot in a ventilated area, pour water thoroughly, and grow in the pot after a week.

2. Cuttage propagation

Select the semi-lignified branches with strong growth at the top of the plant, cut off a section of about 10 cm, remove the basal leaves, and leave the top 2-3 leaves for cutting in summer and autumn. To cut with cutting, after cutting with soil compaction, watering through water, placed in cool ventilation, spray 1-2 times a day, so as to avoid water loss, keep the temperature between 20-25 degrees, gradually increase light, 1-2 months later can take root, then transplant flowerpot.

3. Prevention and treatment of striping

The seedlings obtained by this method are larger. And the operation is simple, easy to survive, but not suitable for mass reproduction, can be carried out throughout the year, April-June is appropriate. First of all, select the robust branches on the plant, peel 0.5-1 cm from the upper 30-40 cm, then wrap them with moist soil at the ring, tie them tightly with plastic bags to keep the soil moist, and wait for the branches to take root. It can be separated from the mother plant and replanted.
