Generally speaking, the flower bud differentiation time of Cymbidium is in July and August every year, and the florescence is concentrated in winter and spring. But orchids are flowers that can bloom all year round, so they also bloom in autumn or summer. It is difficult to keep the orchid blooming year after year, and it is even more difficult to make the orchid blossom in a standard way. The most common problem when a gentleman's orchid blossoms is to trap arrows. I look forward to seeing them, but they don't grow, which makes people anxious. In fact, to prevent the arrow entrapment of the gentleman orchid should be carried out in advance, rather than wait until it does not grow out. From now on, we pay attention to the following four aspects, which can effectively prevent the gentleman orchid from catching arrows.

Light

The magnolia has experienced dormancy in summer, and autumn will enter the reproductive stage of rapid growth, so in autumn and winter we should ensure that the light should not be less than four hours a day, so that it can carry out full photosynthesis, which can not only produce more nutrients needed for flowering, but also prevent the leaves from growing. We all pay more attention to this point, it is not a big problem, but while ensuring the light, we should also do a good job of shading. Some people like to turn on small night lights at home, which are turned on all night. Although the light of the night light is relatively weak, it will also affect the growth of the gentleman's orchid arrow. If you have such a habit, you can put the magnolia in a relatively dark place at night, or cover it with a large cardboard box with a vent hole. It is in the reproductive stage of the magnificent orchid that it should be bright when it should be bright and black when it should be dark, so that it should not be very bright during the day and night, resulting in a sword clip.

Temperature difference

The vigorous growth of gentleman orchid arrows is inseparable from the temperature difference. After the orchid enters the reproductive stage, it is best to have a temperature difference of about ten degrees day and night. If there is no temperature difference, or if the temperature difference is too small, it is easy to cause sword clamping. Especially for flower friends in the north, there is heating at home in winter, and the temperature is the same for 24 hours, so the flower arrow is a bit difficult to draw out. At night, you can put the orchid in a relatively cool place to create a suitable temperature difference. The temperature difference not only helps to pull out the flowers and arrows, but also makes the flowers more colorful and has higher ornamental value. But it should be noted that the temperature difference should be based on the temperature suitable for the growth of Cymbidium, about 20 degrees, if the temperature is too low, sword clamping is also very easy to occur.

Moisture content

In the reproductive stage, watering should be stable, and the basin soil should be watered when it is dry. Do not deliberately control the water or increase the amount of water. Because flower bud differentiation occurs in July and August, it is now a foregone conclusion that flower bud differentiation has become a foregone conclusion. There is not much significance in controlling water. On the contrary, it will affect flower arrow extraction. And too much watering when the root hypoxia, or root rot, nutrients can not be normally transported to the flower arrow, will also affect the growth of the flower arrow. Therefore, the autumn and winter season to raise a gentleman orchid should have a normal heart, not impatient, step by step on the line.

Nutrients

In general, when the temperature drops into autumn, you should pay attention to fertilizing the magnolia. You can apply some fertilizers with a higher content of phosphorus and potassium, which will contribute to the germination and growth of flowers and arrows. If there is not enough phosphorus and potassium fertilizer in autumn, it is possible to trap arrows in winter and spring. Therefore, you must pay attention to fertilizing your orchid in autumn. If your family's orchid has not been fertilized by now, it is not too late to apply it.

When the gentleman orchid has already caught the arrow, it is also necessary to solve the problem from the above four points. On the one hand, short sunshine, the other time to close the dark room. On the other hand, increase the temperature difference and stimulate the growth of flowers and arrows. Third, rational watering, neither too much nor less water. Fourth, we can apply a little quick-acting fertilizer to help draw out the flowers and arrows. If there is a growth agent such as gibberellin at home, spraying a little on the stem is also beneficial to the extraction of flowers and arrows.
