Lotus fog is now a relatively rare fruit, but there is also a certain market in our country. Now in our country also has a certain planting area, the growth of wax apple is large, so the yield is relatively high. After picking, it is necessary to do a good job of preservation and storage, otherwise the fruit will easily deteriorate and rot. So how do you store it? The following small series brings you the preservation and storage methods of lotus fog. Let's take a look at them together.

1. Low temperature storage

The most commonly used storage method of wax lotus is low temperature storage. Under low temperature environment, the respiration of fruit will be inhibited, and the original quality of wax lotus can be maintained as much as possible. When stored at low temperature, the temperature should be controlled at about 10 degrees. Low temperature storage can reduce the fruit weight loss rate and ensure that the fruit will not be affected by environmental factors and devaluation. Delaying fruit senescence and ripening time, generally directly wrap the lotus fruit with plastic wrap and then store it at a temperature of 10 degrees, and the storage time can reach about one month.

2. UV treatment

After harvest, ultraviolet irradiation can eliminate bacteria on the fruit surface and prevent bacteria from invading the fruit from the epidermis. Prevent fruit rot and improve the life span of lotus mist harvest. Moreover, under proper irradiation, a thin film can be formed on the surface of the fruit to reduce water loss. Ultraviolet irradiation for about two minutes a day, and in the irradiation to constantly flip the fruit, to ensure uniform irradiation. After irradiation, it is stored at room temperature for one week, and its good fruit rate can still reach 100%, but the shelf life is only about 12 days.

3. Controlled atmosphere storage

Controlled atmosphere storage is the process of increasing carbon dioxide concentration by reducing oxygen content in the air. While ensuring the normal life activities of fruits, it can reduce the respiration of fruits and achieve the purpose of inhibiting microbial activities. Prevent fruit metabolism too fast, accelerate senescence, reduce fruit loss in storage, improve fruit insurance time. During controlled atmosphere storage, the nitrogen content in the air is kept at about 85%, oxygen 5%, and carbon dioxide is controlled at about 10%. Pay attention to ventilation once a day, which can delay the ripening time of fruits for 2-3 weeks.

4. Ozone storage

Ozone storage is also a commonly used storage method for lotus fruits. Ozone can play a role in disinfection, sterilization, removal of harmful gases, toxins. Moreover, it will not cause pollution to the fruit itself. In the cold storage, ozone is injected into it. Keep the number of injections at about 5 times a day and ventilate for 10 minutes. It can obviously slow down the ripening time of fruits and the loss of nutrients, and improve the freshness.

The above is a simple introduction to the storage method of lotus mist preservation. Today's introduction is here, this article is for reference only, I hope to help you reach Oh!
